I fully appreciate accomplished, well-done art. Above all, I adore west coast Native art, particularly that of the Haida, in all it's forms: carving (wood; totems; canoes; argillite, precious metals), weaving, and painting. Something about it touches my soul, deeply. Given that these peoples have populated North America for 12-15,000 years or so - hundreds of generations - their art has been highly developed.
